Where?

Kabini is one of the most popular wildlife destinations in Karnataka, probably because of its easy accessibility, lush green landscape and fantastic sightings of large herds of elephants at the backwaters. It is 90km away from Mysore and 225km from Bangalore.

Significant numbers of predators live in Kabini including: Tiger, Leopard, Sloth Bear and Dhole. Prey species of grazing ungulates include Gaur, Sambar , Chital, Wild boar and Barking deer are common but the blaze of the elusive tiger always haunts you as you roam through the verdant jungle here along with award-winning wildlife photographer AB Apana.
